Abstract

Background: Youth Posyandu is a form of community-based health effort (UKBM) to empower the community and make it easier to obtain health services for adolescents to improve health status and healthy life skills in adolescents. Efforts to increase adolescents' knowledge about anthropometry skills require media that will attract attention and make it easier for adolescents to remember the contents of the messages conveyed Objective: To determine the effect of anthropometry training using learning cards (chase) on changes in adolescent knowledge and skills. Methods: This study was a pre-experimental design (quasi-experimental) with a single group pre-test post-test design in a hamlet that had not yet formed a youth posyandu. The study population was adolescents who had attended peer counselor training in Girianggung Village. A sample of 50 people. Data analysis used paired t-test and Wilcoxon. Results: There were differences in the knowledge level of respondents before and after training (p<0,05), weighing skills (p<0,05), height measuring skills (p<0,05), and measuring upper arm circumference skills (p<0,05). Conclusion: There is an effect of using learning card media (chasing) on changes in knowledge and skills of adolescents in conducting anthropometric assessments.
