Abstract
Background: One of the side effects of spinal anesthesia that becomes a serious problem is hypotension. Severe hypotension post spinal anesthesia as a result of sympathetic block vasodilating venous pooling (venous pooling) that causes increased space in the blood vessels resulting in decreased systemic vascular resistance and cardiac output. Hypotension when prolonged and not treated will cause tissue and organ hypoxia. In hypotensive cesarean section patients may have a direct effect on the fetus. The incidence of hypotension and bradycardia was reported more frequently in obstetric patients than in non-obstetric patients. Determination of post spastic anesthesia hypotension is easier using Mean Arterial Pressure calculations. Purpose: to know the difference of arterial pressure mean in cesarean section and non cesarean section patients with spinal anesthesia at Sleman Hospital. Methodology: This study used cross-sectional approach, conducted on 70 respondents that is 35 respondents seksio sesarea and 35 respondents non seksio sesarea. Data analysis using chi square statistic test. Results: Mean mean arterial pressure from 10 minute, 20 minute and 30 minute after spinal anesthesia in cesarean section patients mostly hypotension as much as 21 respondents (60%), while non-cesarean section more respondents experienced normotensi as many as 14 respondents (40%). Based on chi square test seen that chi square value of 7.010 and p-value significance value of 0.03. Conclusion: There is a difference in mean arterial pressure in patients with cesarean section and non cesarean section with spinal anesthesia. Keywords: MAP, sectio caesarea, non sectio caesarea
