Abstract
Background: During the COVID-19 pandemic Sleman has the highest increase in the incidence of family planning drop-out in Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) with 690 cases or 40,92% of the total increase in DIY cases. Puskesmas Pakem has significant increase of seven time from 2019. During the COVID-19 pandemic people tend to feel anxious and afraid to make family planning visits to health care facilities. Objective: Knowing the relationship between anxiety and drop out progestin inection contraceptive during the COVID-19 pandemic at the Puskesmas Pakem. Methods: The study was an observational analysis used cross-sectional design. This study was conducted in January 2022. The population of this study was progestin injection contraceptive acceptors in Puskesmas Pakem working area. Purposive sampling technique was employed, involving 96 respondents as the sample. Instrument used Corona Anxiety Scale (CAS). Data analysis used Chi-square test. Results: Chatacteristics of respondents are age 20-35 years (54,2%), have 1-2 of living children (88,5%), have a high school or vactional secondary education level (82,3%), and low income (54,2%). The results of the bivariate test between anxiety and progestin inection family planning drop out behaviour obtained (p=0,002), OR 4,016 (95% CI 1,717-9,393). Conclusion: There is a relationship between anxiety and progestin injection contraceptives drop-out behaviour during COVID-19 pandemic. Keywords: Anxiety, Family Planning Drop Out, COVID-19 Pandemic.
