Abstract

CORRELATION BETWEEN RESTORATION TREATMENT AND THE LEVEL OF ANXIENTY OF CHILDREN VISITING dr. Kyai Mojo No, 56, Pingit, Yogyakarta 555234 telp. 0274 – 514306 Email : evipurwantiku@gmail.com ABSTRACT Background : In the field of dental health, symptoms of anxiety are often found in children who do dental treatment, especially restoration. Moreover, before the process of restoration, anxiety and fear occur in the children’s mind due to their imagination. Anxiety and fear of dental treatment become the main reason of not carrying out dental treatment, so it can worsen the condition of oral and dental health which will later require more complex treatment. Purpose of Research : To find out the correlation between restoration treatment and the level of anxiety of children visiting dr. Murjani Sampit Regional Hospital Research Method : This research is Observational study using Survey Cross-Sectional Method. The population is all children who get restoration treatment. The instrument used is a measurement sheet with FIS. The data is analyze using Kendall’s tau. Research Result : It is found that in the process of restoration on children, those who are treated fast 58.8% and the others who treated slowly is 41.2%. In terms of the level of anxiety, the number of children who anxious is 64.7% and the number of children who are not anxious is 35.3%. The result of Kendall’s tau on correlation between restoration treatment and the level of anxiety is sig. 0.035 < 0.05. Conclusion : There was a significant correlation between restoration treatment and the level of anxiety of chidren visiting dr Murjani Sampit Regional Hospital. Keywords : restoration, anxiety, FIS.
