Abstract
Background:Patientssatisfactionis a major issue that should be payed attention on, in order to increasehospital quality.Ahospitalmustprovidetheclientswith theirneedsthrough excellentnursingcareactivities.Patientsgenerallyperceivethe nursingcare basedonitstangible,reliability,responsiveness,assurance,andempathy.Thepatients’perceptionstowardsnursingcarequalitywillinfluencepatients’satisfaction.Objective:To investigate the relationship betweenpatients’perceptionsofthe nursingcarewith patients’satisfaction.Methods:Thisresearchwasobservationalanalyticwithcross-sectionaldesign,usedapurposivesamplingtechnique.Thisstudyinvolved40samples.Datawerecollectedwithquestionnaires, and wereanalyzedbased on univariateandbivariateanalyses. ThebivariateanalysiswasKendall's tau testwith significancelevel of p<0.1.Results:Majority ofrespondentshadgoodperceptiontowards the nursing care quality (60%) andmostrespondents weresatisfiedwith the nursing care(62.5%),Kendall'stautest resultedτ=0.476witha p-valueof0.003(p<0.1).Conclusion:There wasa significantrelationshipbetweenthepatients’perceptiontowardsnursingcarequalitywith thepatients’satisfactioninCandiBarongunitinPrambananGeneral Hospital.Keywords:Patientsperception, nursingcarequality,patients satisfaction
