Abstract

LITERATURE REVIEW DUKUNGAN KELUARGA TERHADAP KUALITAS HIDUP PENYANDANG DIABETES MELLITUS Nabila Setara Bening Assyifa*, Induniasih, Titik Endarwati Jurusan Keperawatan Poltekkes Kemenkes Yogyakarta, Jl. Tatabumi No.3 Banyuraden, Gamping, Sleman Email: setarabening@gmail.com ABSTRAK Latar Belakang: Penyandang Diabetes Mellitus (DM) mengalami penurunan kualitas hidup dikarenakan perubahan yang terjadi pada dirinya serta terjadi adanya penurunan kesehatan dan produktivitas yang dialami. Banyak faktor yang memengaruhi kualitas hidup, salah satunya dukungan dari keluarga termasuk salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi kualitas hidup penyandang Diabetes Mellitus (DM). Tujuan: Diketahuinya hubungan dukungan keluarga terhadap kualitas hidup pada penyandang Diabetes Mellitus. Metodologi: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode review literatur dengan menggunakan sumber database Google Scholar, GARUDA, Pubmed, dan Science Direct, pencarian jurnal didasarkan pada kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi agar sesuai dengan rentang waktu lima tahun terakhir. Hasil: Terdapat hubungan antara dukungan keluarga dengan kualitas hidup pada penyandang Diabetes Mellitus. Dengan adanya dukungan keluarga yang baik, dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup penyandang DM. Sebaliknya, dukungan keluarga yang kurang juga menyebabkan kualitas hidup penyandang DM menurun. Diskusi: Dukungan keluarga yang baik dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup penyandang DM. Dukungan keluarga berupa dukungan emosional menjadi dimensi dukungan keluarga tertinggi yang dirasa oleh penyandang DM memberikan pengaruh dalam peningkatan kualitas hidup. Kesimpulan: Dukungan yang diberikan keluarga pada penyandang Diabetes Mellitus dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup penyandang Diabetes Mellitus. FAMILY SUPPORT FOR QUALITY OF LIFE OF PEOPLE WITH DIABETES: A LITERATURE REVIEW ABSTRACT Introduction: People with Diabetes Mellitus (DM) experience a decrease in their quality of life due to changes that occur in themselves and a decrease in their health and productivity. Many factors affect the quality of life, one of which is support from family, including one of the factors that can affect the quality of life of people with Diabetes Mellitus (DM). Objective: Knowing the relation of family support for quality of life of people with Diabetes Mellitus. Methodology: This study used a literature review method using Google Scholar, GARUDA, Pubmed, and Science Direct database sources. Search for journals based on inclusion and exclusion criteria and journals that have a span of the last five years. Result: There is a relationship between family support and quality of life in people with Diabetes Mellitus. Good family support can improve the quality of life of people with DM. On the other hand, the lack of family support also causes the quality of life of people with diabetes to decrease. Discussion: Good family support can improve the quality of life of people with DM. Family support in the form of emotional support is the highest dimension of family support that people with DM feel have an influence in improving the quality of life. Conclusion: The support provided by families for people with Diabetes Mellitus can improve the quality of life for people with Diabetes Mellitus.
