Abstract

The aspect of children’s growth is an aspect which explains the process of shaping someone, both in physicall and psychosocial. Toddler is the age of children where the growth will affect and determine the future development. One of the factors which affect children’s growth is parents. This research has an objective to know the description of parents’ knowledge about the growth of 1-3 years old children in Posyandu Dusun Dukuh, Banyuraden, Gamping, Sleman. This research is descriptive research with a design of survey. The subjects of the research are 46 parents who have 1-3 years old children in Posyandu Dusun Dukuh. The technique to take the samples is total sampling. The research instrument is questionnaire. The data will be analyzed using frequency distribution and will be presented in table. The biggest characteristics of parents are parents between the ages of 26-35, working as housewives, having High School education, having a child, and the earning is 1.5-2.5 million rupiah. The description of parent’s knowledge about the growth of 1-3 years old children is that 31 people are have a good knowledge about it and 15 people just have enough knowledge about it. Most parents’ knowledge about the growth of 1-3 years old children is good
