Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Early mobilization as a cardiac rehabilitation effort is performed as a nurse's actions in performing rehabillitative roles. It aims to produce a useful physiological and psychological change by increasing the functional capacity in order to restore the patient to his original life or occupation. Objective: To provide an overview of nursing care by providing early mobilization training in patients after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) with disruption of activity needs fulfillment at Wates Yoyakarta Hospital. Method: This study used case study design. Researchers observed changes in response in two patients to the same mobilization actions undertaken by the investigators. Results: The case study results show that nursing care in both patients who performed early mobilization gave different responses. One patient can follow the exercises and activities according to the standard guidelines of operational procedures starting on the third day, while the two patients are able to start the exercise on the fourth day and are unable to continue the exercise due to the weakness condition. The results of hemodynamic observation did not produce significant differences between before, during, and after early mobilization. Conclusions: Implementing early mobilization for AMI patients when administered optimally can speed recovery. Implementation is done with attention to the rules and see the patient's response during the exercise Keywords: early mobilization, post acute miokard infarction (AMI) 1) Nursing student of the ministry of Health Polytehnic Yogyakarta 2), 3) Nursing lecturer of the miniastry of Health Polytehnic Yogyakarta
