Abstract

A restaurant is a place of commercial business whose scope of activity provides food and beverages to the public in its place of business. Waste management in restaurants is one of the important things that need to be considered, if it does not meet sanitation requirements it can create a condition of unhealthy restaurants, and become a breeding place for vectors or other disturbing animals. Based on a survey at the "X" restaurant in the Depok Beach area, it is known that the fly density is high and the condition of the trash can does not meet sanitation standards. This study aims to determine waste management and density of flies. The type of research used is a survey with descriptive analysis. The location of the study was in the Depok Coast Area Restaurant, Bantul Regency, with a sample of 50 restaurants. Data collection uses a checklist and fly grill. The results of this study indicate that 100% of waste management in Depok Beach Area Restaurants is bad. The average level of fly density is the highest in the high category, namely 68% in the Food Management Site and 60% in the Trash.
