Abstract
Smoking is a bad habbit that could give bad impact for the health, the consequence not just for active smokers even for other people around them too. Various studies have been carried out and support this statement, but this bad habbit (smoking) is still difficult to reduce in our society. In this case, the D.I.Yogyakarta government authorized regional regulation number 2 of 2017 concerning no-smoking areas as a form of government commitment to protect the non-smoking society or passive smokers from the danger of cigarette smoke exposure. According to the regulations there are several places that became the focus of the application for smoking ban , for the example is public places including Railway Station. Based on the result of preliminary survey conducted on October 21, 2018 at the Yogyakarta Railway Station. The Researcher found that there were a lot of smokers who still smoked at Yogyakarta Railway Station, They found many cigarettes butts in some areas and also advertisements about cigarettes in the Railway Station. Based on these problem, researcher wanted to know how the application of No-Smoking Area Regulations in Yogyakarta Railway Station in 2019. The type of this research are survey and observation with descriptive analysis, Located in Yogyakata Railway Station. the data was been taken using checklist and questionnaire. From this study the percentage of average no smoking area monitoring was 82%. So it can be conclude that the Yogyakarta Railway Station has not implemented the No-Smoking Area. And for the assessment of the attitude both from the visitors and station management, as the result of 95 respondents (100%), having attitudes in the category of good to the regulations of No-Smoking Area.
