Abstract
Latar Belakang: Infeksi Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) seperti Ascaris lumbricoides, Trichuris trichiura, Ancylostoma duodenale dan Necator americanus menyebar melalui telur yang dikeluarkan bersama feses penderita. Metode Mini-Flotac dan flotasi dapat digunakan menjadi metode alternatif pemeriksaan telur cacing dengan prinsip berat jenis larutan lebih tinggi daripada berat jenis telur cacing. Tujuan: Mengetahui ada atau tidaknya perbedaan dan rata-rata jumlah telur cacing Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) pada metode Mini-Flotac dan flotasi. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional. Subjek penelitian adalah sampel feses positif telur cacing Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) yang diperiksa dengan metode Mini-Flotac dan flotasi. Uji analisis statistik menggunakan uji normalitas data dan uji Mann-Whitney U. Hasil: Rata-rata jumlah telur cacing Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) pada metode Mini-Flotac adalah 4,81, metode flotasi 4,19 dan rata-rata selisih 2,88. Hasil uji Mann-Whitney U didapatkan hasil Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,878 ≥ 0,05 Kesimpulan: Tidak ada perbedaan jumlah telur cacing Soil Transmitted Helminth (STH) dengan metode Mini-Flotac dan metode flotasi.
