Abstract

Background: The prevalence of stunting toddler at Bantul in 2018 is 22,89%, in 2019 Bantul is one of 160 regencies or cities in Indonesia that have become the priority of stunting prevention. Particularly in the Patalan vllage which one of 10 village focused on handling stunting in Bantul districh with a prevalence of stunting toddler of 9,6% in 2018. Object: To khow the description of the body length born and exclusive breastfeeding and complementary foods for stunting children aged 6-59 months in Patalan Village, Jetis Sub-district of Bantul. Methods: This type of research is observational and research design is the cross sectional. This research character is descriptive and the technique of taking sample is purposive sampling with criteria inclusion and exclusion. Location of research at Patalan Village, Jetis Sub-district, Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. Results: The proportion of stunting toddler with normal birth length is 75% (18) compared to stunting toddler with short birth length 25% (6). The proportion of stunting toddler with exclusive breastfeeding is 83,3% (20) comparated to stunting toddler without exclusive breastfeeding 16,7% (4). The proportion of stunting toddler with timely complementary foods is 66,7% (16) comparated to stunting toddler with complementary foods that are not timely. Conclusions: Most of the stunting children with other indices of poor nutritional status or both have normal birth lenght, get exclusive breastfeeding and complementary foods on time.
