Abstract

Background : The incidence of premarital sex in Indonesia is still high as evidenced by the case of unwanted teenage pregnancy which reaches 60%. From these data, men and women begin to have sexual intercourse for the first time at the age of 15-19 years on the basis of curiosity and lack of knowledge. Health counseling related to the prevention of premarital sex is one of the government's efforts to overcome these reproductive health problems. Objective: This study aims to determine the increase in knowledge about the prevention of premarital sex with the influence of spinning clue media counseling. Methods: The type of research used is quantitative with a Quasi experimental research design pre-post with control group design on 30 people as a spinning clue media experimental group and 30 people as a control group. The instruments used were spinning clue media and PPT slides. Results: The Man-Whitney test results show a p-value <0.05, which means that there is an increase in knowledge in the spinning clue media group counseling with an average post-test value of (36.70) higher than the average value of the group that was not given the intervention. Conclusion : There is an increase in the knowledge value of the spinning clue media group higher than the PPT slide group Keywords: Premarital Sex, Teenagers, Spinning Clue
