Abstract

Food is an important thing that is needed by humans every day as a source of energy for activities. Apart from containing nutritional value, food is also a medium for microbes or germs to multiply. Another possibility is that the entry of hazardous materials such as chemicals, pesticide residues and other materials such as dust, soil, human hair can adversely affect human health. Meatball traders and handlers are very closely related to food, so traders must carry out sanitary hygiene. This research is an observation research conducted directly in the field regarding sanitation facilities, food equipment, food serving and personal hygiene which aims to find out the description of Sanitation Hygiene of Bakso Stalls in Karang Gayam, Caturtunggal, Kec. Depok, Sleman Regency with a total of 10 samples. Variables were collected using observation sheets and analyzed using descriptive analysis. The results of this study are the Sanitation Facilities of the 10 meatball stalls 7 (70%) stalls do not meet the requirements, in serving food at the meatball stalls of the 10 meatball stalls there are still 4 (40%) meatball stalls that do not meet the requirements. The equipment at the meatball stall 100% meets the requirements. Personal Hygiene of 10 meatball stalls 2 (20%) meatball stalls have met the requirements.
