Abstract
FAMILY SUPPORT RELATIONSHIP WITH LEVEL ANXIETY IN ELECTIVE PREOPERATIVE PATIENTS Yessi1 , Harmilah2 , Rosa Delima Ekwantini3 Department of Nursing Poltekkes Ministry of Health Yogyakarta Jl. Earth System No. 3 Banyuraden, Lime, Sleman Email: yessirositasari123@gmail.com ABSTRACT Background: The impact of anxiety on preoperative patients can hinder the operation. Therefore, family support is needed by preoperative patients. The more support that is obtained, the lighter the burden and mental stress suffered by the patient. Objective: To determine the relationship between family support and anxiety levels in preoperative patients who will undergo anesthesia in elective surgery at RSUD Dr. Chasbullah Abdulmadjid Bekasi City. Methods: Quantitative research with a cross-sectional research design. The sample size is 84 people with consecutive sampling technique, the test used is the spearman rank test. Results: In this study, it was found that the most patients received moderate family support, namely 45%, with the highest level of anxiety, namely with moderate anxiety level of 27.4%. From the results of the study, it was found that there was a significant (mean) relationship between family support and anxiety levels in elective preoperative patients (p value = 0.001). Conclusion: There is a relationship between family support and anxiety levels in elective preoperative patients at Dr. Chasbullah Abdulmadjid Hospital, Bekasi City.
