Abstract
Background: It turns out that school-age children can contract Covid-19. This requires family support to implement Covid-19 prevention health protocols. The results of the preliminary study proved that of the 35 positive cases of Covid 17, among them were school-age children. The low application of health protocols when children are playing together is the main causative factor, so it is still lacking in providing family support to school-age children. Objective: It was known family support in implementing Covid-19 prevention health protocols in school-age children. Method: This type of research is descriptive with a survey research design that is used by questionnaires as a data collection tool for 60 respondents with total sampling techniques carried out in Janturan Hamlet in December 2021 - January 2022. In data analysis used frequency distribution. Results: Family support in school-age children falls into the good category (56.7%) which includes emotional support in the good category (61.7%), information support in the good category (53.3%), assessment support in the good category (55%) and instrumental support in the good category (63.3%). Conclusion: Family support in the implementation of Covid-19 prevention health protocols in school-age children consisting of emotional, informational, assessment, and instrumental support falls into the good category. It was hoped that the family can maintain and improve emotional, informational, assessment and instrumental support related to the implementation of Covid-19 prevention health protocols so as to minimize the spread of Covid-19 in the surrounding environment.
