Abstract

Abstrak Air merupakan kebutuhan pokok bagi kehidupan manusia di bumi ini. Kendala yang paling sering ditemui dalam menggunakan air tanah adalah masalah kandungan zat besi (Fe) yang terdapat dalam air. Besi dalam air biasanya terlarut dalam bentuk senyawa atau garam bikarbonat, garam sulfat, hidroksida dan juga dalam bentuk koloid atau dalam keadaan bergabung dengan senyawa organik. Air yang mengandung kadar Fe tinggi, apabila dikonsumsi dapat menyebabkan gangguan kesehatan. Batas maksimal keberadaan Fe pada air bersih menurut Permenkes RI No. 32 Tahun 2017 adalah sebesar 1 mg/L. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh varasi ketebalan media Arang Tempurung Kemiri dan Limbah Industri Genteng dalam menurunkan kadar Besi (Fe) pada air sumur setelah melalui proses filtrasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Exsperimen dengan rancangan dimana hasilnya akan dianalisis secara deskriptif dan analitik. Rancangan yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Pretest – Posttest Group Desain. Dari penelitian ini, dapat diketahui bahwa filter dengan media arang aktif tempurung kemiri dan limbah industri genteng dapat menurunkan kadar Fe pada air sumur gali. Dari pengambilan sampel post pada setiap kelompok eksperimen, didapatkan rata-rata penurunan kadar Fe dengan selisih yang tidak berbeda jauh antara Filter A, B, dan C. Berdasarkan hasil uji One Way Anova, diperoleh hasil nilai signifikan sebesar 0,976 (>0,05) sehingga Ho diterima, yang berarti antara Filter A, B dan C tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan. The most common obstacle in using groundwater is the problem of iron (Fe) content in the water. Iron in water is usually dissolved in the form of compounds or bicarbonate salts, sulfate salts, hydroxides and also in colloidal form or in a state combined with organic compounds. Water that contains high levels of Fe, if consumed, can cause health problems. The maximum limit for the presence of Fe in clean water according to the Regulation of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia No. 32 of 2017 is 1 mg/L. This study aims to determine the effect of variations in the thickness of the Kemiri Shell Charcoal media and Tile Industrial Waste in reducing iron (Fe) levels in well water after going through the filtration process. This type of research is a Quasi Experiment with a design where the results will be analyzed descriptively and analytically. The design that will be used in this research is the Pretest – Posttest Group Design. From this research, it can be seen that the filter with activated charcoal media of candlenut shell and tile industry waste can reduce Fe content in dug well water. From post sampling in each experimental group, it was found that the average decrease in Fe levels was not too much different between Filter A, Filter B, and Filter C. Based on the results of the One Way Anova test, the results obtained a significant value of 0.976 (> 0 0.05) so that Ho is accepted, which means that there is no significant difference between Filter A, Filter B and Filter C.
