Abstract

One of the big problems faced by big cities in Indonesia is solid waste. In Temanggung Regency, the rate of domestic waste generation is very large, up to 1,489 m3/day. On this basis, the authors are interested in researching the description of waste management in the waste bank source mukti Rejosari Village to find out the activities carried out by the Waste Bank, Knowing the number of customers who participate in the Waste Bank, Knowing the impact of the Waste Bank activities, and to find out waste reduction in the Waste Bank. Sumber Mukti Waste Bank in Rejosari Village, Temanggung District, Temanggung Regency. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach through a survey. The data were obtained by interviewing the managers and customers of the Sumber Mukti Waste Bank. The results obtained were then analyzed descriptively. As a result, the mechanism and activities of waste management carried out by the Sumber Mukti Waste Bank are in accordance with the regulation of the Minister of Environment Regulation no. 13 of 2012. The activities of the Sumber Mukti Waste Bank are divided into two aspects, namely environmental aspects and economic aspects. The largest distribution of Sumber Mukti Waste Bank customers is in RT 03, 04, and 06 with a total of 30 customers. The largest waste reduction carried out by the Sumber Mukti Waste Bank for the 2017-2019 period was in plastic waste with a percentage decrease of 38%.
