Abstract
Diabetes mellitus if dont managed properly can cause acute metabolic complications as well as microangiopathy and macroangiopathy. Diabetic foot abnormalities if not detected immediately and not treated will result in a more serious condition which leads to amputation and can even lead to death This study aims to describe the condition of the feet of people with diabetes mellitus in the working area of Godean II Public Health Center in 2015. The research method used is descriptive survey. The subjects of the study were 70 people with diabetes mellitus at the Godean II Health Center. The study was conducted in February-April 2015 in the work area of Sleman Godean II Public Health Center with a check list. Data analysis uses frequency distribution. In this study results were obtained; that most respondents were 67.1% women, 71.4% aged 45-64 years, 51.4% with diabetes mellitus for ≤ 5 years, 72.9% controlling once a month, 65.7% sugar content the last three months of blood ≥ 180 mg / dL, 75.7% had never smoked, 5.7% had neuropathy, 1.4% had nephropathy, 8.6% had retinopathy, 37.1% had hypertension, 2.9% had a stroke, 68.6% experienced yellowing nails, 38.6% had hammer toe, 97.1% had callus, 95.7% felt pulse in the right and left legs, 74.3% sensation of the feet could be felt on the legs Right and left. Most of the foot patients with diabetes mellitus are yellowing nails, there is a hammer toe, there is a callus, palpable right and left legs and the sensation of the foot is felt in the right and left legs.
