Abstract

Bacground : PONV is the most complication occurs such nausea and vomiting that can cause prolonging time recovery of patient, increase nursing treatment cost and can cause of dehidration, bleeding even aspiration. There are many factors that cause PONV one of them is opioid uses. Purpose : Knowing the difference of PONV insident on post spinal anesthesia patients that use opioid and without opioid. Method : this reserch uses cohort retrospective design with purposive technique sampling. Sample divide on two group are opioid use group and without opioid group, each of group obtain 31 patient. Data obtained from patients medical record, data analyze use chi square and relative risk. Result : The study result show that respondents with opioid use and get PONV obtain 14 (45,1%) and respondents without opioid and get PONV obtain 5 (16,1%). Study result p-value 0,013 with RR 4,2 Conclusion : There is a significant difference PONV occurs on post spinal anesthesia patient with opioid use and without opioid use in RSKIA Sadewa during 2017. Patients with opioid use during spinal anesthesia 4 time more risk get PONV experience that patient without opioid use.
