Abstract
The mobile phone is considered as an important thing in today’s globalization era. Almost all of the daily activities depend on the cellphone. In relation to these phenomena, it is undeniable that the cellphones can be contaminated with pathogenic bacteria particularly on its screen. Therefore, keeping the hygiene of the mobile phone is necessary particularly in the relation to its screen, as a consideration, one of the methods to keep the hygiene of its screen is by cleaning the screen frequently. The mobile phone screen can be cleaned by wiping the screen using the extraction of betel leaf (Piper betle L.). Since a long time, the betel leaf has known that it has many benefits for health. One of the substances that can be utilized is Alkaloid compound which has a function for natural antibacterial. The research design of the current stud is the experiment research involving One Group Pre Post Test design. Moreover, the three variations of extraction which are 40 gram, 50 gram, and 60 gram are conducted in the current study by comparing with the control group using the wet tissue. This test was conducted by wiping the extraction to the screen and repeating it up to 9 times. The results of the statistical test using One Way Anova obtain p-value 0.000<0.05 which mean there is a significant difference from each variation of betel leaf extraction. The variation of 40 gram can bring down bacteria 67.73%, furthermore, the variation of 50 gram can bring down bacteria 68.93% and the variation of 60 gram can bring down bacteria 83.05%. The result of LSD shows that the variation of 60 gram is the most effective variation because it obtains the mean difference 1012,778. The variation of 60 gram obtains the biggest gain score 196,13%.
