Abstract

The market is a place of human interaction of various cultures and socio-economic level. Market sanitation is an effort to supervise activities that take place in a market environment, especially those that are closely related to the onset or transmission of an illness. Based on the results of the survey, sanitary conditions market Babad drainage in the market does not flow smoothly and compressed, the distance between the TPS with a Los Merchant and the distance between the chicken cuts and the nearest merchant Los less than 10 m, the toilet is not separate between Men and women, and there is no trash in every Los. All these problems still need to be an effort to improve market sanitation. The purpose of this research is to know the condition of sanitation conditions of Babad market in Trucuk Sub-district, Klaten Regency and to know the level of satisfaction of traders on market sanitation. Types of research used descriptive surveys. The samples in this study are the Babad market and traders, officers and buyers in the market. Variables in this study are variable-free sanitary Babad markets and variables bound to the trader's satisfaction level against market sanitation conditions. The results showed that Babad market gained a total score of 4,419 and was in the category of ' unhealthy. Respondent satisfaction to sanitary conditions of Babad market as much as 5 or 10% of respondents expressed satisfaction and as much as 47 or 90% of respondents expressed dissatisfaction. Conclusion of Babad market research in the category of ' unhealthy ' with a total score of 4,419. Conclusion condition facilities and infrastructure facility Babad market is still less qualified.
