Abstract
ABSTRACT Water is a very important need for human survival. One alternative to consuming drinking water is to be processed first from raw water into water suitable for consumption. The purpose of this study was to determine the series of equipment used for the refill drinking water treatment process starting from a reservoir, a series of filtration devices and disinfection methods and determine the microbiological quality of drinking water. The type of research used in this study is observational using a descriptive survey. The raw water source of the refill drinking water depots is mountain water, the reservoirs used by 37 depots are made of polycarbonate in 67.56% of depots, fiberglass in 32.43% and stainless steel in 35.13%. In the filtration process all depots have used activated carbon filtration media, silica sand, catridge filters measuring 0.1μm, 0.3μm and 0.5μm and 56.75% of depots that use manganese zeolite. All depots use ultraviolet light and 40.54% of depots are equipped with ozonation as a sterilizer. Referring to the Decree of the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Indonesia No. 651/2004 on Technical Requirements for Drinking Water Depots, out of 37 refill drinking water depots in Kasihan Sub-district, Bantul District, 27.02% of depots did not meet the requirements because they had not carried out routine maintenance of reservoirs and 24.32% of depots with delays in the maintenance of filtration equipment. Keywords : Refill Drinking Water Depot, Filtration, Disinfection, Ozonization, Coliform.
