Abstract

Background : Oral health is a health indicator in a general. The results of the 2013 Riskesdas showed that the rate of experience of dental caries index (DMF-T) of 4.6, plus habits that could worsen caries, one of which was smoking. The results of the 2018 Riskesdas showed that the percentage of smoking in adolescents increased by 9.1 percent. Research Objective : Know the description of caries status in active smokers of young men in Srayu Village. Research Methods : The type of research with cross sectional study design. The population in Srayu Village. The sampling technique, which amounted to 40 respondents. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and caries status checks. Data from research results are presented in the form of frequency distribution and cross tabulation. Research Results : Based on the results of research conducted on active smokers young men in Srayu Village have low criteria caries status of 32.5%, medium criteria 40.0%, and high criteris 27.5%. Conclusion : Most active smokers of young men in Srayu Village have moderate caries status. Keywords : Caries Status, Active Smoker, Teenager
