Abstract

ABSTRACT Based on the results of a preliminary survey at the Kasih Ibu Special School, there were various problems with the condition of sanitation facilities including toilets, waste water sewers (SPAL), trash cans. This research was conducted with the aim of knowing the condition of the existing sanitation facilities at the Kasih Ibu Special School. This type of research is a survey with a descriptive purpose. The results of this study found that sanitation facilities in the clean water aspect of the 3 variables studied all met the requirements. The toilet aspect of the 8 variables studied, 4 variables did not meet the requirements, including the separation of toilets between men and women, soap and trash cans available, adequate ventilation and lighting, no mosquito larvae. Aspects of Wastewater Sewerage from the 6 variables studied, 1 variable did not meet the requirements, including wastewater flowing smoothly. Aspects of the trash bin of the 3 variables studied, 2 variables that do not meet the requirements include a covered trash can, the distance between TPS and classrooms is at least 10 meters. The conclusion of this study is that the condition of the sanitation facilities at the Kasih Ibu Special School got a score of 13 eligible variables with a percentage (65%) meaning "Not Healthy Eligible" where the healthy acceptable standard if the eligible variable has a value of 70%.
