Abstract

RELATIONSHIP LEVELS OF KNOWLEDGE OF NURSES ABOUTPATIENT SAFETY WITH COMPLIANCE SURGICAL SAFETY CHECKLIST IN THE SURGICAL ROOM RSI ASSYIFA SUKABUMI Arif Hidayatullah 1, Yustiana Olfah 2, Wittin Khairani3 Department of Nursing Poltekkes Ministry of Health Yogyakarta Jl. Earth System No. 3 Banyuraden, Gamping, Sleman, Yogyakarta, 55293 Email : arif_hidayatullah80@yahoo.com ABSTRACT Background: The phenomenon in the surgical safety checklist field was not carried out because the knowledge factor about the surgical safety checklist was still lacking. If not addressed, it will have an impact on the quality of service at the Assyifa Islamic Hospital. Objective: to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge of nurses about patient safety and compliance with the surgical safety checklist in the operating room at RSI Assyifa Sukabumi. Methods: This research is a descriptive correlation research with a cross sectional design. The research population is operating room nurses. The sampling technique was total sampling with a total of 40 respondents. Data were analyzed using chi square test. This research was conducted in February-May 2022 at RSAssyifa Sukabumi. Results: the level of knowledge of nurses about surgical safety is good, patients will obey to do SSC. The results of the chi square test have a p-value of 0.000, so the p-value <0.05. Conclusion: There is a relationship between the level of knowledge of nurses about patient safety with compliance with the surgical safety checklist in the operating room at RSI Assyifa Sukabumi. .
